Airbus (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

Engineering MAP (Mise-Au-Point) is an acronym used at Airbus for Liaison Engineering between the Engineering Design Office on the one side and FAL (Final Assembly Line), Flight Test/Line, Delivery Centre on the other side. The focus is on short term trouble shooting (ensure operability of the fleet) and long term maturity improvement of the integrated used Systems.
Systems MAP as part of Engineering MAP is a transnational department located in Hamburg and Toulouse close to Flight Test and Flight Line. With six system teams and three programmes teams managed in a matrix organization, the department covers all MAP activities for the different systems on A380, A320 and A350 XWB aircrafts.

This internship will start on 4th January 2016 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

· implementing improvements concerning Operational MAP Support. The improvements expected from the project shall cover for example cost/effort reductions as well as enhanced, better services (e.g. standardisation cross-programme, automations). This will require interaction with other Functions such as IT department, Quality or Engineering Methods and Tools,
· working closely with Transverse Operations Group as well as with different customers of MAP operational support (MAP programme leaders, MAP specialists, line managers, technical coordinators, …),
· gathering information, analysing it, defining improvements and runing implementation,
· being also in charge to deliver & maintain the A350 MAP systems configuration and A350 & A380 dashboard for the EYIM department across all Systems team.

Besides project and change management and applied IT the internship gives a good opportunity to learn working with people in an operational environment very close to the aircraft.
You will allow get an insight into various areas of Airbus (e.g. Design Office, Flight Test, Airbus Production, Logistics,...).

Profil recherché

Required skills

You are in the 2nd year of a master's degree, or in the 5th year of an engineering school or university, specialising in IT or engineering.

You ideally have initial experience in this field and you have:

· Information technology (e.g. MS Excel, data bases, SAP),
· Systems engineering (e.g. avionics, fluid mechanics, requirements engineering),
· Knowledge of improvement methodology (lean) is a plus,
· Good analytical and problem solving skills.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
