Job Description

As CPU Performance Analysis Engineer, your main role consists in creating, modifying, characterizing and running various workloads to assess the performance of processors developed in the centre.

In close collaboration with other Sophia-based engineering teams, you will directly contribute to the micro-architectural investigations and definition of ARM’s next generation processor.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

Job Requirements

Education

Preferably graduate from a University or Engineering School, in electronic engineering or computer science, although other science graduates would be considered if they have relevant experience

Technical Attributes

Applicants should have:

• Excellent programming skills (C or C++)

• Good understanding of the fundamentals of CPU and system architecture

• Experience in cross-compilation techniques

• Habits of Linux environment and open source tools

Ideal applicants might also have knowledge or experience in the following areas:

• CPU Performance analysis / benchmarking

• Compilers and code generation

• CPU or System modelling

• Python scripting

• ARM assembly language

• Demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and diligence

• Be able to work efficiently alone as well as in a team environment

• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
