Profil recherché
Position requirements:
Student with convention de stage on final Masters year.
Professional and technical skills:
Analytical skills with strong planning ability, autonomy and attention to detail;
Capacity to consolidate and summarize information from varied sources;
Fluent in English (oral and written); French language skills optional;
Experience/interest in developing country context. Knowledge of financial inclusion and/or health inclusion is a strong plus;
Coding basics (e.g., Excel VBA);
MS Office: Excel, Word and Power Point – advanced level (mandatory).
Interpersonal skills:
Motivated by an international and dynamic environment;
Genuine interest in financial inclusion;
Able to work in a team and also autonomously;
Results focused;
Sense of humor.

About AXA Emerging Customers:
AXA’s Emerging Customer team leads AXA’s inclusive insurance strategy, which aims at protecting low-to-middle income populations in Asia, Africa and Latin America to help them become the middle class of tomorrow in their country. As an illustration, we develop small ticket (monthly premium of 1-5 euros or sometimes even less) life or health insurance products for farmers, small shopkeepers, migrant workers, etc.
This initiative is a defined business unit with commercial objectives as well as a social impact mission. As of end-2018, AXA protected over 9.4 million emerging customers in 10 countries.
More concretely, the Emerging Customers team helps local AXA entities design and roll out of their inclusive insurance programs through partnership building (with microfinance companies, mobile network operators, mobile wallets…), customer research, new product development, IT solutions design, operations optimization, impact assessment, etc.
Clients-centricity is not just a buzz word with regards to AXA Emerging Customers: we apply human-centered design methodologies on the ground to tailor new products and services to customer needs leverage technology.
Primary mission
The Emerging Customers team is looking for a profile with strong interest in the financial inclusion space willing to perform a 6-month internship as a business performance and market analyst. The primary mission will be to support the team on tracking business performance across 15 countries, improving current business analytics tools and leading research and market analysis to both deploy inclusive insurance projects and position the team as a thought leader in the space.
Main activities
Business reporting and performance analysis:
Support the Strategy & Performance management team to lead quarterly reporting process: generation of reporting templates, engagement with entities, consolidation of input files, generation of business dashboards and slides, analysis of main trends/gaps over time;
Maintain, adapt, and enhance business analytics tools (including VBA coding) under the guidance of the Performance manager and the Data analytics manager;
Conduct quantitative analysis of live schemes, to inform product, operational, and customer engagement enhancements.
Market analysis and business development across markets:
Conduct qualitative analysis of distribution channels and prospect partners to support new business generation;
Prepare discussion material to present the Emerging Customers offer to potential partners;
Market research on potential partners in data and analytics space
Develop in-depth studies of specific topics relating to the emerging customers space:
New financial inclusion ventures which could become distribution channels for AXA;
Country-specific or customer segment-specific research.
Stakeholder outreach and thought leadership:
Take part in production of communications materials both external (e.g. position AXA in industry and think tank reports, articles and interviews, etc.) and internal (e.g. team governance, newsletters, etc.).
