Global Energy Management (GEM) is one of ENGIE’s 24 Business Units. We provide services in supply and logistics management, asset management by leveraging on markets, risk management, market access management, and contribute to market understanding, design and efficiency.
With a staff of 1,400, offices in 11 countries and 4 trading platforms, GEM has an extended geographical coverage in Europe and Asia-Pacific and activities in more than 50 countries.
The back-office department manages energy (mainly gas and electricity), sale and purchase contracts once they have been signed, along with invoicing, reporting, recovery and estimates of volumes and revenues.
The GEM Back Office Department is looking for a Trade Business Support Analyst, cleared and OTC side.
Your mission
· within the Trading Support, you will be managing Day to day Operations on Gas, Power, Oil and Emission trades
· you reconcile & validate deals inputted by Sales and Traders (OTC & Exchanges)
· you are checking Derivatives Products bookings & expiry levels
· you are responsible for issuing and matching Deal Confirmations, Invoices & Settlements
· you liaise with Front Office & other Support Functions for a better Trading Floor activities understanding
· you will assist team on day to day tasks
· you will chaise counterparties regarding confirmations and late payment
· you will cooperate with the other departments
· you will handle requests received in the mailbox
· you have a Master Degree in Business, Finance, Economics
· you have experience in dealing rooms/Back-office/Middle Office, ideally in commodities
· you are client focused and willing to have extensive interactions with Sales, Trading, Market Risk, Finance
· knowledge of OTC & Cleared Derivative and Transaction Cycle
· organized and detail orientated, good analytical and problem solving skills, innovative, ability to work under pressure
· strong knowledge of MS Office & information systems (Meteor - Reuters - Bloomberg). A very good knowledge of VBA is appreciated
· you have an interest and experience in Energy Markets (Trading Environment appreciated)
· you are fluent in French & English (spoken and written), German & Dutch is a plus Workplace: Paris
