SAP BODS (Business Objects Data Services) Consultant - French Speaking - Paris, France. Start: 15th May 2017. 3 Month+ Contract. End Client.

Our End Client in Paris, France is looking for an SAP BODS (Business Objects Data Services) Consultant.

DESCRIPTION OF THE MISSION
As part of the migration from an Oracle EBS ERP to an SAP ECC ERP, the client has re-developed a decision-making environment not covered by the New ERP. It was not possible to use SAP's BW solution. One ad hoc data Warehouse has been implemented to cover the needs the client's centres. The main purpose of this is to supply business intelligence solutions (BO BI4, BO BPC). This data Warehouse is powered by SAP ECC extractors (standard or custom). The power supply is performed daily by an ETL (BODS) job. Profil recherché

EXPERTISE REQUESTED
* SAP BO Data services
* Modelling of decisional data
* SQL
* Good French and English language skills
* SAP ECC and/or SAP BW experience would be nice to have (but is not essential)

REQUIREMENTS
* Understand the functional environment and appropriate business processes
* Interact with users to gather business needs
* Perform functional analysis. And propose solutions techniques
* Maintain or upgrade the ETL jobs that feed the data Warehouse
* Maintain or upgrade the ETL jobs that are available from Data warehouse
* Maintain or upgrade the data warehouse data model.
* Maintain the data dictionary that links the objects of ERP, data warehouse and BI universes
* Knowledge of the SAP ECC environment and its extractors is a plus
* Proposing and implementing areas for improvement of the environment
* To optimize the needs of the business: activation of New SAP ECC extractors, datamart creation, cubes, ...

DELIVERABLES:
* ETL job specifications
* Reference documentation of the business objects used in the data Warehouse and reports (data dictionary, about 600 objects)
* Develop packages}
