Nestlé Waters is the number one bottled water company worldwide, with around 100 production sites in 35 countries, more than 34,000 employees and a portfolio of 52 brands. Nestlé Waters (NW) is seeking for interns who will be working at the NW global Research Centre (Product Technology Centre (PTC) in Vittel, France).

Description

The packaging of liquid products implies technical and design requirements like consumer centricity, transport stability and environmental sustainability. Thus, the desired resulting performance is only obtained using optimal process parameters, geometrical specifications and materials. Simulation methods like the Finite-Element-Analysis are nowadays used to accomplish the constantly increasing requirements.

The student will help to extend the precision and capabilities of existing simulation methods by:

- Extending the flexibility of existing methods to account for process variations and their influence on the mechanical performance

- Contributing to the development of extended performance simulations

- Evaluating the resulting improvements and model extensions by experimental testing.

The student will work in a productive atmosphere and his work will deliver an important contribution to future packaging development in terms of light weighting, waste elimination and quality improvements.

Framework and duration

The internship is scheduled for a timeframe of 6 months and could also be combined with a bachelor or master thesis.
