Job Description:

A vacancy for a Certification Qualification Engineer H160 Program has arisen within Airbus Helicopters.

You will join the Airworthiness Office of Airbus Helicopters in Marignane and become part of the Chief Airworthiness Engineer's (CAE) Team for H160 Program to support the safety of our products by managing the Certification, Qualification and initial Airworthiness activities for your program. This includes new helicopter type certification, changes to existing helicopter type certificates and flight clearances.

Each Project involves various contributors (Chief Engineering, designers, internal and external specialists, customer support, prototype shop, Final Assembly Line, ...).

The Certification Qualification Engineer is the focal point for the Airworthiness Authorities with whom he/she is negotiating the certification basis as well as the certification strategy and means of compliance (lab/ground/flight testing, Safety analysis...) and authority involvement (document acceptance, test witnessing, in-house reviews...).

The Certification/Qualification Engineer is responsible to ensure demonstration of compliance to the applicable airworthiness requirements, to ensure their in-service safety. He/she is responsible for leading the Certification and Qualification activities necessary to meet the development and deliveries milestones (new and retrofit) of the program.

 
This results in a challenging transverse position, including negotiation internally but also with civil and millitary Aviation Authorities worldwide, with great responsibilities, and a good overview on our products, on our systems and on our organization.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Task & accountabilities :

Your mission is to achieve the certification and qualification of the H160 Helicopters, in an international environment.

To achieve this you will have to:

·  Influence and contribute to the harmonization of the future Certifications (e.g. in the frame of offers, ..)
·  Identify/define the applicable Certification / Qualification basis for future H160 evolutions
·  Obtain the permit to fly or contribute to the obtainment in case of cooperation projects.
·  Define the Certification/qualification Logics, elaborate and harmonize (internally / externally) the certification & qualification plans, including the identification of the Means of Compliance and associated demonstrations of compliance.
·  Coordinate the creation and delivery of those compliance demonstrations in accordance with the general milestones provided by the Project team.
·  Validate those demonstrations of compliance and harmonize them with Authorities.
·  Produce the certification / qualification synthesis documents and harmonize them with authorities.
·  Approve design changes under DOA privileges.

In parallel, the position could offer, in the future, the opportunity to:

·  Validate repairs, directives, Service Bulletins, flight clearances.
·  Be a key player for the harmonization of the certification processes, for continuous improvement and DOA on H160.
·  Promote our Roles & Responsibilities and associated processes within Airbus Helicopters and in front of our Authorities.
·  Be the point of contact of all airworthiness/qualification topics relative to H160 in front of internal customers/suppliers (LF, Project, Configuration ...) as well as external ones (authorities, partners).
·  Become authorized signatory and responsible within the design assurance system including the whole process of certification and qualification.
·  Manage a transversal team for a given certification/qualification project.

Required skills :

You need to have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
·  At least 3 years of overall experience in certification or at least 5 years of experience in aerospace engineering activities
·  Good level of communication
·  Skills in project management and people coordination
·  Open-minded
·  Comfortable in negotiation situations
·  Language Skills: Advanced level of English and French

Un poste d'Ingénieur Qualification Certification Programme H160 est à pourvoir au sein d'Airbus Helicopters.

Vous rejoindrez le bureau de navigabilité d'Airbus Helicopters à Marignane et ferez partie de l'équipe de l'ingénieur en chef de navigabilité (CAE) pour le programme H160 afin de soutenir la sécurité de nos produits en gérant les activités de certification, de qualification et de navigabilité initiale pour votre programme. Cela comprend la certification de nouveaux types d'hélicoptères, les modifications des certificats de type d'hélicoptères existants et les autorisations de vol.

Chaque projet implique différents intervenants (ingénieur en chef, concepteurs, spécialistes internes et externes, support client, atelier de prototypage, ligne d'assemblage final, ...).

 L'ingénieur de certification/qualification est le point focal pour les autorités de navigabilité avec lesquelles il négocie la base de certification ainsi que la stratégie de certification et les moyens de conformité (essais en laboratoire/au sol/en vol, analyse de sécurité...) et l'implication de l'autorité (acceptation des documents, témoins d'essais, examens internes...).

 L'ingénieur de certification/qualification est responsable de la démonstration de la conformité aux exigences de navigabilité applicables, afin de garantir la sécurité en service. Il/elle est chargé(e) de diriger les activités de certification et de qualification nécessaires pour respecter les jalons de développement et de livraison (nouveaux et rétrofit) du programme.

Il en résulte un poste transversal stimulant, comprenant des négociations en interne mais aussi avec les autorités de l'aviation civile et militaire dans le monde entier, avec de grandes responsabilités et une bonne vue d'ensemble de nos produits, de nos systèmes et de notre organisation.

Ce poste nécessitera une habilitation de sécurité ou nécessitera d'être éligible à une habilitation par les autorités reconnues.

Tâches et Responsabilités

Votre mission consiste à obtenir la certification et la qualification des hélicoptères H160, dans un environnement international.

Pour ce faire, vous devrez :

·  Influencer et contribuer à l'harmonisation des futures certifications (par exemple dans le cadre d'offres, ...).
·  Identifier/définir la base de certification/qualification applicable pour les évolutions futures du H160
·  Obtenir l'autorisation de vol ou contribuer à son obtention dans le cas de projets de coopération.
·  Définir les logiques de certification/qualification, élaborer et harmoniser (en interne/externe) les plans de certification et de qualification, y compris l'identification des moyens de conformité et les démonstrations de conformité associées.
·  Coordonner la création et la livraison de ces démonstrations de conformité conformément aux jalons généraux fournis par l'équipe de projet.
·  Valider ces démonstrations de conformité et les harmoniser avec les autorités.
·  Produire les documents de synthèse de certification/qualification et les harmoniser avec les autorités.
·  Approuver les modifications de conception en vertu des privilèges de la DOA.

Votre mission consiste à obtenir la certification et la qualification des hélicoptères H160, dans un environnement international.

·  En parallèle, le poste pourrait offrir, dans le futur, l'opportunité de :
·  Valider les réparations, les directives, les bulletins de service, les autorisations de vol.
·  Être un acteur clé pour l'harmonisation des processus de certification, pour l'amélioration continue et le DOA sur H160.
·  Promouvoir nos rôles et responsabilités ainsi que les processus associés au sein d'Airbus Helicopters et auprès de nos autorités.
·  Etre le point de contact pour tous les sujets de navigabilité/qualification relatifs au H160 auprès des clients/fournisseurs internes (LF, Project, Configuration ...) ainsi qu'externes (autorités, partenaires).
·  Devenir signataire autorisé et responsable au sein du système d'assurance conception incluant l'ensemble du processus de certification et de qualification.
·  Gérer une équipe transversale pour un projet de certification/qualification donné.

Compétences requises

Vous devez posséder les compétences et l'expérience suivantes :

·  Formation de niveau bac +5 (ou équivalent) en ingénierie ou dans une discipline connexe.
·  Au moins 3 ans d'expérience globale dans la certification ou au moins 5 ans d'expérience dans des activités d'ingénierie aérospatiale.
·  Bon niveau de communication
·  Compétences en matière de gestion de projet et de coordination des personnes
·  Ouverture d'esprit
·  à l'aise dans les situations de négociation
·  Compétences linguistiques : Niveau avancé d'anglais et de français
